Getting started with Ark Assist

Onboarding: what happens in your first few weeks

From signed agreement to fully managed — the discovery, documentation and rollout stages, and what we need from you.

Last reviewed 20 August 2026

Onboarding is a one-off charge and a one-off piece of work. The aim is that by the end of it we know your estate better than the last people did.

  1. 1Discovery — we walk the site, inventory devices, servers, network kit, lines, licences and cloud tenants.
  2. 2Access — admin credentials are transferred, secured in our password vault and old shared logins are retired.
  3. 3Agents — monitoring and endpoint protection are deployed to each supported device, usually without interrupting anyone.
  4. 4Documentation — we write up your network, systems, suppliers and key contacts so any engineer can help you, not just the one who visited.
  5. 5Quick wins — anything genuinely risky (unsupported operating systems, no backup, no MFA) is flagged and dealt with first.
  6. 6Review — a short call to confirm what we found, what we fixed and what we recommend next.

What we need from you

  • A named contact who can approve changes.
  • Existing passwords, licence details and supplier account numbers.
  • A list of your business-critical applications and who supports them.
  • Access to the comms cabinet and any locked cupboards on the day of the site visit.

Still stuck?

Log it with the helpdesk and a real engineer will pick it up — or book a call if you'd rather talk it through.
