About ARK Assist
We're an independent IT company looking after small and medium businesses across Hampshire and the South Coast. Good IT support starts with understanding the business using it — how your team works, which systems they rely on and what happens when something stops. The technology comes after that.
ARK Assist started as a computer repair company. As we began doing more work with local businesses, it became obvious that looking after business IT means understanding more than the computers. You need to know how the business works.
A five-person office, a workshop, a warehouse, a retailer and a multi-site company can have completely different priorities even when they're using much of the same technology.
So we start by finding out what the business does, how people actually work, which systems matter, what causes disruption, what's unusual about the setup and what you're likely to need next. Then we work out what technology makes sense around that.
Day to day that means support, phones, Microsoft 365, broadband, backups, networks and cabling, with one place to come when you need help.
And when something doesn't quite fit into a standard box — a workshop network, cameras across two sites or a machine built for a specific job — that's normally the sort of work we enjoy most.
